Im really Yoshi obsessed. This is one of my first created costumes. I now want to go back and create a better one. But ill always love this costume!!

Note: This was the first time i played DDR!

I thought i'd explane how i made the costume for those who were interested:
I started on the head right after halloween and it took me about 3 days cause it had to dry. Its paper machee over a bunch of balloons. The biggest balloon is one of those bouncy yo yo balloons i got at albertsens. Then i used 1 regular baloon for the cheeks, and a long balloon for the eyes. After paper macheeing all the balloons the way i wanted (I used tape to hold the pieces together, then paper macheed over it), then i reinforced it all with a glue (shoe goo) brushed over tissue paper. Then i panted. To add effect, i painted a party blower red to make a retractible tounge.
To make the body i used a McCalls pattern (9492) and made the alligator my size (had to make the pattern a bit bigger). I used really cheap fabric.
Finnally the shoes were a couple of slippers i sewed felt over.

I am dying to be yoshi for halloween but I can't do anything like this... any ideas or tipso n a low key, yet semi amazing and cheap yoshi costume?

Lucky, you got to be Yoshi, I've wanted to be Yoshi on Halloween for years but never had the costume, well did you ever use this costume for Halloween? I've got one coming for Me from someone else but My Mother says it won't fit Me and can't be altered,m but then she changed her mind and thought it could be altered and gave Me a chance to loose weight

I do hope you use the costume for this year if it still fits you or that you make the improved costume for next year, I just wish once I'd get to be Yoshi for events that involve costumes.
